IMAGES of the new Westminster Lodge leisure centre, which was given the go-ahead at the end of last month despite major concern from residents, have been revealed.
A huge campaign was mounted against the district council's proposals but were brushed aside in favour of rebuilding the ageing centre.
Most of the objections related to the eight-lane pool which campaigners said was too small.
These artist impressions show how the new leisure centre will be once built on another part of the Verulamium Park site and the current building will be demolished to make way for more car parking.
