SHOPPERS will be encouraged to help out young homeless people at a St Albans supermarket next weekend.
On Sunday, November 21, members of St Albans Masorti Synagogue and Herts Young Homeless Group will be at Morrisons in Hatfield Road, asking shoppers to buy for low-cost goods which they can buy in-store such as crockery, towels, and cleaning products - all vital for young people moving into their first home.
Organiser Glenn Middleton said: “We’re indebted to St Albans Masorti Synagogue and Morrisons for contributing their time and effort to this worthwhile campaign. The work we do at Herts Young Homeless Group makes a real difference to the lives of young people who may well feel abandoned, lost and without support – offering them just a few basic items can help turn their first house into a home.”
