AN arson attack in the early hours of this morning was racially motivated, police have confirmed.
Firefighters were called to a property in St Albans Road West, Hatfield, shortly after 1am when a doormat was set alight.
Hertfordshire Constabulary, which is investigating the incident, also confirmed that racist graffiti was also daubed on a car parked outside the property.
Nobody was hurt in the incident and damage was contained to the front door.
