PROPOSALS for a takeaway service at a St Albans restaurant have stirred up mixed reactions.
The restaurant, in Russet Drive, has submitted plans to St Albans District Council to include a takeaway option.
The unit has been vacant for some time, but since the application was submitted the owner has begun trading within the current conditions of use.
However a number of residents have objected to the takeaway service, raising concerns such as an increase in anti-social behaviour, traffic, littering and noise.
Colney Heath Parish Council has said it also has a concern about litter, which is already a big problem near the Spar shop.
A committee at the district council will meet on Monday, June 13, to discuss the application.
