A NURSERY can provide new outdoor play equipment for children thanks to a cash grant.
Hertfordshire county councillor Bernard Lloyd has allocated £2,000 from his locality budget to The Lea Primary School and Nursery in Harpenden.
The money will be used to buy a range of eqiupment that can be used in all weathers, including tables, chairs, play houses and giant outdoor games.
Councillor Lloyd said: "The Lea School works hard to provide a good education for all its pupils and has agreed to take more children than usual into the reception class in September.
"This grant will provide valuable and much needed extra resources."
