In just a few weeks, I will be finishing my first year here as Rabbi in St Albans. It is appropriate now to look back on this first year. Summer is upon us, school is breaking up, and we enter into that (hopefully) slower paced portion of the year. As I look back on my first year, I see how warmly I have been welcomed, and the strides my community and I have accomplished. Through the support of many in the community of St Albans, my congregation is finally looking to have a permanent home in this upcoming year as we recently have signed the lease for our new building. Just as we (and I) have been so warmly welcomed and supported by all of you, we wish to extend such a welcome to you all upon completion of our building and home in the near future. We are eager to play our role in the community, playing host to you as you have been wonderful hosts to us. It is amazing to me all that has been accomplished this year, and I look forward to many more years serving the community of St Albans. For if all this was accomplished in just one year, imagine how much more can be accomplished in the years to come.
