ONE person has been arrested following an attempted burglary in St Albans this afternoon.
A police presence remains in Ladies Grove following reports of two people acting suspiciously, possibly trying to break into a house.
Officers remain in the residential road off Waverley Road, just yards from where the blue Vauxhall was abandoned.
The vehicle, which was abandoned following a chase, has been removed from the scene.
The car was left in Batchwood Drive facing the pavement, at the corner of Waverley Road.
It is believed officers tracked down the car and the occupants fled the scene.
The police helicopter continues to fly over the area as officers search for the attempted burglars.
