For the last four years British comedian and star of the hit Netflix show Travels with My father star, Jack Whitehall has hosted the Brit Awards.

But this year the comedian and actor has steeped back from the roll and made room for a new host.

Who is hosting the Brits?

Popular comedian Mo Gilligan will entertain the stars tonight as the new host of the Brits and was described by Whitehall as "the perfect choice."

The stand-up comedian is most known for his Channel 4 show The Lateish Show and as a judge on The Masked Dancer and Singer.

Mo will also make history as the first Black British person to ever host the Brit Awards.

The stand-up comedian shared his thoughts on making Brit history: "The biggest honour is that I’m able to be in a space that is not normally occupied by people from my background and represent my culture, community, and background."

The Brits Awards are on ITV at 8pm, February 8.
