Herts Phoenix Athletic Club athletes impressed at the English Schools Track and Field Championships.
Townsend’s Ellie Baker won both her heat in Birmingham and semi-final before finishing third in the final of the intermediate girls 800m race with a brilliant new personal best time of 2.07.59.
Sandringham’s Jenna Hoyte finished in 11th place in the high jump with 1.62. In the senior girls, St Albans High’s Melanie Grigg finished fifth in the third heat of the 400m hurdles with a time of 65.76.
