London Colney were once again frustrated by the weather when their match at Hatfield Town was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
The club quickly arranged a friendly at Parmiters School against Bedmond which ended in a 2-1 defeat.
Fielding a first team side along with some reserves and new signings, the Blueboys took a 1-0 half-time lead with a cracking goal from Greg Shaw.
Early in the second half Matt Newman nearly made it 2-0 but his goalbound shot was hacked clear off the line at the last moment.
Bedmond drew level when former Blueboy Gary Sippetts beat Mark Whittamore to the ball and flicked it past him before planting it into the back of the net.
With only a few minutes to go Bedmond snatched a winner when Ian Hughes hit a long-range shot that flew over Whittamore.
London Colney are due to host London Lions in the league this weekend.
