Successful pilot sessions have just been completed at Oaklands College where St Albans Hockey Club are holding their new Flyerz project.
The scheme is designed to give the opportunity to those with disabilities to play hockey when the new academic year begins.
The local scheme has been led by St Albans head coach Andy Halliday.
He oversees the Great British men’s hockey team, and also manages a similar project in Newham.
