Harpenden Town’s recent run of form continued after a 2-0 win at second-placed Crawley Green in South Midlands Division One on Saturday.
The side are within sight of fourth place, which would earn the players the right to take part in the FA Cup next season.
Manager Danny Plumb said: “This was a great result and proves we can beat any team in the league on our day.
“Tony Golder, the captain, made the first goal with a superb through ball and I was delighted to see our new keeper Charlie May keep a clean sheet on his debut.
“I am excited to see how we end the season with this form.”
Harpenden increased the pressure in the second half and were rewarded with the opener after 65 minutes.
Golder released Jimmy Hill and his cross was turned in by Harry Hunt.
May made several vital saves before the visitors sealed the win when Hill netted their second goal.
