St Albans City have cancelled Saturday's planned friendly with Watford Under-23s, in the wake of the death of a volunteer who fell from the roof of the club's stadium earlier this week.
The Saints routinely host friendlies with Watford's development side, but have called off this year's game, and another friendly with Dagenham and Redbridge on Wednesday, in light of health and safety concerns.
Clive Churchhouse, a long-serving St Albans supporter, had been working on the roof of one of the stands at Clarence Park when he fell, and died later at St George’s Hospital in Tooting.
The club has already cancelled one friendly, which had been due to be held on Tuesday night against Luton Town.
A statement from St Albans read: "The club can confirm that our pre-season fixtures against Watford on Saturday, July 22 and Dagenham and Redbridge on Wednesday, July 26 have been postponed due to health and safety investigations at Clarence Park.
"Further announcements will be made in due course."
