DAVE ANDERSON has begun the pruning of the St Albans City FC squad he inherited at Clarence Park by allowing Hector Mackie to leave the club.
Mackie, the former Spurs trainee who has had spells at Stevenage and Welling, was signed by Ritchie Hanlon in the summer but he failed to find the net in 12 matches and has been allowed to join Potters Bar Town. Mackie played for Town in their 4-0 defeat away at Dartford on Saturday.
Anderson, who took over from Hanlon last month, has also made Ram Marwa available for transfer while Alex Bolt has returned to Rushden & Diamonds following the end of his loan spell.
