Owen Farrell joined his decorated father, Andy, on the bench for Saracens pre-season friendly with Western Force at Old Albanian RFC on Friday night.
Owen, 16, was named on the bench by Sarries director of rugby Eddie Jones after impressing for England Under-18s during the summer.
The former St George's School pupil was hoping to get on the field at the same times as his dad, who has represented Great Britain in rugby league and England in rugby union, but Andy suffered a discolated thumb and ended up being replaced by his son towards the end of the game.
Sarries won the match 19-10 in front of a crowd of 2,500.
Owen, who turns 17 in September, is part of the Saracens Academy and can play at fly-half or at centre.
