HARPENDEN'S Ed Corrie returned from Moscow in the early hours of Monday morning having helped the British Under-14 tennis team to third place behind Russia and the Ukraine in the Winter Cup.
The 13-year-old lost 6-3, 3-6, 4-6 in his doubles semi-final match against the Ukraine on Saturday, before beating Gavron of Poland 6-2, 7-6 in Sunday's third-place play-off.
Corrie has been selected to represent Britain at the Antwerp Cup in the middle of March, and will follow that with a trip to Spain's prestigious tennis resort in La Manga, for an Easter training camp.
