Four cars were broken into in the space of one hour in Abbots Langley.
Police have just released information about the incidents on March 15 in the hope that witnesses come forward.
Items including power tools, sunglasses, a sat nav system, trainers, a golf club and cash were stolen from a van parked in Adrian Road.
A second van was also broken into on the same street and several power tools and a mobile phone were taken.
Locks were drilled out of two vehicles parked on a driveway in Abbots Road but nothing was taken from within.
Offenders then tried to gain access to a vehicle parked on Breakspeare Road but were disturbed by the owner and made off in a black Saab.
Anyone with information should call police on their non-emergency number 101.
