Nordin Amrabat was the first player to join the club last month. The winger moved to Vicarage Road from Malaga for a fee of around £6.1 million. He is believed to be Watford’s record signing.

The Morocco international made his debut as a late substitute in the 2-1 win over Newcastle United before starting and impressing in the FA Cup win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Costel Pantilimon arrived 24 hours after Amrabat. The towering Romanian goalkeeper joined Watford from Sunderland for an undisclosed fee.

He is likely to be second choice to Heurelho Gomes this season. However, he made his debut against Forest on Saturday, keeping a clean sheet and making one vital late stop to deny Dougie Freedman’s side a late equaliser.

Mario Suarez completed his move to Watford from Fiorentina on Saturday.

The Spain international comes with an impressive pedigree, having won La Liga, the Europa League, the Super Cup and the Copa del Rey during his second spell with Atletico Madrid.

The midfielder has yet to make his debut but is likely to be included in the Hornets squad against Chelsea this evening.

Abdoulaye Doucoure joined the Golden Boys on deadline day from Rennes but was immediately loaned out to fellow Pozzo-owned side Granada.

The rangy midfielder had been tracked by Watford for several months and the club opted to complete his signing ahead of schedule as other Premier League sides were increasingly interested in the 23-year-old.

He will spent the remainder of the campaign in Spain before returning to Vicarage Road in the summer.

And, finally, Adalberto Peñaranda switched Pozzo clubs, signing with the Hornets from Granada on deadline day.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest young players in Europe but will, like Doucoure, stay with Granada until the end of the campaign.

The Venezuelan has earned comparisons to Lionel Messi, especially after he claimed the Argentine’s record of being the youngest player to score a brace in La Liga.
