The High Sheriff of Hertfordshire made a special visit to a care centre in St Albans to find out more about the services offered to people suffering with mental health issues.
Arabella Stuart-Smith was the guest of honour at The Beacon in King Harry Lane on Wednesday, February 20.
The centre helps people return to normal life in the community after a period of mental ill health.
Mrs Stuart-Smith took a tour of the centre with deputy team leader Sonia Grant and met senior nursing staff.
She also met residents who told her how they share shopping and cooking.
The Beacon is run by Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT).
