Pupils from a St Albans school had the chance to get up close to some of their favourite animals during a trip to the zoo.
Heathlands School, which looks after deaf children from across the district, paid a visit to Whipsnade Zoo in Dunstable.
The trip, which took place on June 12, was organised by the Rotary Club of St Albans and First Capital Connect.
Jim Bradford, chairman of the rotary club’s community service committee, said: "The day was a great success and that the children are very grateful.
"A very big thank you to all at First Capital Connect for providing the coach."
