Submerged park benches and gallons of murky water was the scene captured by locals on Saturday afternoon when the River Colne burst its banks.
Emergency services were called to Waterside in London Colney at approximately 12.30pm when the village river reached its full capacity.

Firefighters, St Albans District Council and London Colney Parish Council were on hand to distribute and transport sandbags to residents living nearby.
At 2.42pm the Environment Agency reported water had not entered any premises’ and by 4.38pm fire crews from St Albans, Potters Bar and Borehamwood had left the scene.
Residents living in Waterside still have sandbags protecting their houses today, due to expected rainfall on Wednesday.
Lee Kauder, bar manager at the Green Dragon pub in Waterside: "People leave their cars here overnight on Friday and usually come by to pick them up on Saturday. It was coming up in front of your eyes about that time and by 1.30pm it was at the front of our door.

"I was expecting a quiet Saturday afternoon but in some ways it is good and bad for your business - good because people came out to look at the flood.
"It was swollen all afternoon but by 2 or 3 it had calmed down and today everything is back to normal.
"We have had floods here before but never this big."
