A student from Radlett has triumphed at a nationwide singing competition.
Ten-year-old Ilan Galkoff who attends Hertsmere Jewish Primary School was runner-up in the Emunah Young Singer of the Year.
He sang "Where is Love" from the musical Oliver in front of an audience of 350 people at the Royal Academy of Music in London on Sunday, March 9.
Immanuel College’s Louis Isaacs, 12, shared a woodwind prize in memory of the late Sara Freedman with Jodie Bloom, 9, who lives in Borehamwood.
Malcolm Singer, director of music at the Yehudi Menuhin School, said the standard was "exceptionally high".
Emunah in Israel is a charity helping children through its network of residential homes, high schools, day care centres and therapy and counselling centres.
