Those from the St Albans and Harpenden area dealt with by magistrates on Tuesday, March 25.
- Nathan Garry James Golder, 20, of Bardwell Court, St Albans. On February 14, 2014, was in possession of one cannabis cigarette, a class B drug. To be detained in courthouse. Detention deemed served by reason of time already spent in custody.
- Peter David Bateman, 50, of Hunters Ride, Bricket Wood. On February 27, 2014, made a telephone call to a specific person, which were prohibted from doing by non-molestation order; also, similarly, on March 2, 2014. Also, between February 27, 2014, and March 2, 2014, sent text message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character. Community order made with unpaid work requirement. Restraining order made. Costs: £145.
- Michel Roger Gratte, 68, of Radlett Road, Colney Street, St Albans. On March 12, 2014, drove in Watling Street, Radlett, after consuming so much alcohol the proportion in breath was 72 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Fine, costs: £772. Banned from driving for 42 months.
- Benjamin Alistair Bell, 19, of Blueberry Close, St Albans. On June 26, 2013, at Hatfield police station, assaulted a detention officer in execution of his duty; also, on February 20, 2014, failed to surrender to custody. Also, on November 30, 2013, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress. Committed to detention for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months. Order includes curfew requirement. Fine, compensation, costs: £207.
