Richard Nicklin, 40, of Bricket Road, St Albans. On March 4, 2014, assaulted a person by beating him; also, on same date, assaulted a second person by beating him; also, on same date, attempted to steal a pedal cycle. Committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months. Order includes alcohol treatment, supervision and unpaid work requirements. Compensation, costs: £245.
Anthony William Riley, 18, of Oysterfields, St Albans. On March 17, 2014, stole alcohol worth £119.99 from Morrisons, St Albans; also, on same date, assaulted two police officers in the execution of their duty; damaged a cell wall belonging to Hertfordshire Constabulary. Also, on April 19, 2014, stole aftershave worth £102 from Boots, St Albans. Community order made with programme, supervision and unpaid work requirements. Costs: £145.
Danny Tony Smith, 23, of Monks Close, St Albans. On March 7, 2014, was in custody of a counterfeit note. Fine, costs: £215.
Karen Elizabeth Ward, 51, of Francis Avenue, St Albans. On October 24, 2013, was a person in whose name a vehicle was registered when it did not meet the insurance requirements of the Road Traffic Act. Fine, costs: £150.
