Tucker the dog met pupils from a St Albans school, as part of seminar to teach children how to greet and care for dogs.
Fleetville Junior School students took part in the free event, which was organised to advise children and parents about dogs in their community and how to deal with common problems.
Tucker taught children how to correctly greet a dog and there was a chance for pupils to carry out tricks and learn how to interact with him.
The seminar was held on Tuesday, hosted by local charity Vista St Albans CIC and organised and run by St Albans Dog Training and Services.
St Albans Dog Training and Services was set up by Selina Davies, three years ago, as a way of teaching the community about dogs.
Ms Davies has organised more than 20 seminars in various schools and scout and youth clubs.
