Drivers in St Albans are being offered the chance to protect their vehicles from number plate theft for free.
M Wilson Motor Repairs Ltd, in Campfield Road, St Albans, will be fitting anti-theft number plate screws for two weeks from Monday, June 16.
Inspector Paul Lawrence said: "These screws provide an effective deterrent to thieves who target number plates to use on other vehicles to commit crime, such as stealing petrol."
This initiative is provided by the St Albans City and District Community Safety Partnership, who have supplied the anti-theft screws. To arrange an appointment contact the garage on 01727 830539/835408.
