Staff from a St Albans supermarket hosted a coffee morning for city care home residents.

Waitrose in Ermine Close, Mayne Avenue welcomed Age Concern and Vesta Lodge Day Centre residents, by introducing them to specialists who spoke about health foods and their benefits.

Dave Martin, Waitrose branch manager, said: "It is such a rewarding opportunity to be able to support the health and wellbeing of our local community. We’re really looking forward to being involved again this year.

"Our Partners are very much looking forward to sharing what we do with our customers to help them adopt a diet that allows them to live well."
