Union Flag floral display laid at St Albans war memorial
A Union Flag of flowers has been laid at a war memorial in St Albans to commemorate the D-Day landings on its 70th anniversary.
A wreath made by Louise at Morrisons supermarket in Hatfield Road was displayed in store before being moved by Don Dell from St Albans branch Royal British Legion to the war memorial in St Peters Street.
The Mayor of St Albans, Annie Brewster placed the wreath during the ceremony, which was also attended by Mike Ward, store general manager and Geoff Harrison.
