A site used by Batford volunteers will be sold to Harpenden Town Council.
St Albans District Council will sell the Lower Luton Road site used by Batford Springs Volunteers following a meeting on Tuesday, June 24.
The site is currently let to Batford Springs Volunteers, formerly known as the Upper Lea Valley Group. The volunteers help maintain and manage Batford Springs Nature Reserve.
The building on the site was damaged by a storm in December 2013 and the town council is planning to help Batford Springs Volunteers turn it into a community resource.
The decision to transfer the site to the town council follows the Localism Act 2011, which encourages town and parish councils to take ownership of assets.
