Two Bricket Wood houses were ablaze last night after a car fire spread to neighbouring properties.
Firefighters were called to Moss Side at 10.36pm following reports that a car caught fire while it was parked on a driveway.
The fire spread to two terraced houses and four crews battled to extinguish the blaze.
The fire was out by 11.01pm and crews checked for hotspots to make sure it did not spread any further.
The gas board were called to check for gas leaks. Two crews from Garston and two from St Albans attended.
The fire is being treated as accidental.
