Those from the St Albans and Harpenden area dealt with by magistrates on Thursday, July 3.

Harry John Wyse, 26, of Council Cottages, Bell Lane, London Colney. On May 8, 2014, drove in Watford Road, Radlett, after consuming so much alcohol the proportion in breath was 111 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. On May 8, 2014, damaged a door retaining bracket belonging to another. Also, on same date, took a vehicle without the consent of the owner; used a vehicle without insurance; drove without a valid licence. Community order made with alcohol treatment and supervision requirements. Fine, compensation, costs: £275. Banned from driving for 24 months, to be reduced by 24 weeks if approved course undertaken. Restraining order made.

John Henry McKay, 76, of Lambourne Grove, Hixberry Lane, St Albans. On June 21, 2014, assaulted a person by beating her. Discharged conditionally for six months. Compensation, costs: £115.

Kim Pettie, 32, of Hill End Lane, St Albans. On May 27, 2014, sent text messages which conveyed an indecent or grossly offensive message, with intent to cause distress or anxiety. Community order made with activity and supervision requirements. Costs: £100.

Barry Paul Marks, 54, of Orchard View, Theobald Street, Radlett. On December 19, 2013, drove in Aldenham Road, Bushey, at 37mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £280. Three penalty points.

James David Nelson, 47, of Harpenden Rise, Harpenden. On December 19, 2013, drove in Ware Road, Hertford, at 36mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £220. Three penalty points.

Robert Edward Dunham, 44, of Stephens Court, Station Road, Harpenden. Between November 1, 2013, and November 29, 2013, failed to give information relating to the identity of a driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fine, costs: £745. Banned from driving for six months.
