A school in St Albans has been presented with an international award in recognition of its work to bring the world into the classroom.

Beaumont School has been awarded the British Council’s International Award after they fostered an international dimension into the curriculum in 2003. 

Students have taken part in video conferences and letter exchanges with students in Spain, business and languages related team-working events, and a languages festival of song and dance with their primary feeder schools.

Students have also taken part in the Affinity Water charity event where they carried water from the River Ver back to the school at the crack of dawn replicating the daily chore that many girls are forced to do across the world.
