A bereavement chairty in St Albans has launched its own lottery - where supporters have a chance to win a weekly jackpot of £25,000.

Managed in conjunction with the unity lottery, St Albans Bereavement Network will receive 50p for every £1 staked.

To play, players will need to pay a minimum of £1 a week for a unique six digit lottery number.

Numbers will be entered in a weekly draw with all six digits winning the £25,000 jackpot.

The charity currently provides a visiting and buddy scheme for older people and special support for young people, children and their families.

The charity receives no government funding and is therefore dependent on voluntary support and fundraising in order to continue.
