A free school in Radlett which was meant to open in September is holding an open meeting in London Colney next week.

Harperbury Free School was due to open this September in the former Harperbury Hospital in Harpers Lane.

However schools’ minister Lord Nash announced in February the Department for Education had failed to secure the site in time, meaning its opening would be delayed for a year.

Headteacher Martin Blain said a previous meeting in Shenley had gone "extremely well".

A feasibility study has been conducted at the Harperbury Hospital site - which is still the preferred temporary location for the school.

The meeting will take place at London Colney Community Centre on Tuesday from 7.30pm.

There will also be a meeting in Radlett on Monday and another in Borehamwood on Saturday. For more information visit: http://www.harperbury.org.uk/admissions/open-days-evenings/
