A gypsy caravan site in Bricket Wood has applied for an extension.
The Connors family has applied to extend the number of caravans at Woodview Lodge in Lye Lane from three to eight.
They are also seeking permission to build stables and construct a horse exercising area.
Planning permission already exists for the use of the front part of the site as a residential caravan site, subject to a limit of two caravans, including one static one.
The application has been submitted to St Albans District Council after a previous refusal. The Connors family has also applied to extend a site in Chiswell Green for up to ten caravans.
