A diabetes charity will run an event for people recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in St Albans.
Type 2 diabetes is a serious, lifelong condition which can be treated with diet, exercise, medication and or insulin.
Diabetes UK will host an event at Sopwell House on Tuesday, October 28. There will be healthcare professionals providing information on the services available to people with Type 2 diabetes in the area.
They will also advise on avoiding health complications associated with diabetes, such as heart disease, kidney failure, stroke, amputation and blindness, through good management of the condition.
