Police are appealing for witnesses after cars were damaged in St Albans.

The front windscreen of a red Ford Focus was smashed in Dymoke Green between 3.40pm and 7pm on Thursday, November 6.

During a separate incident on the same day, between 10.30am and 8.45pm, £250 worth of damage was caused to a red Mini Cooper parked in Grimston Road after the wing mirror was kicked.

This incident is not being linked to the first.

PC Barry Eldridge of the St Albans Safer Neighbourhood Team is investigating and said: "The owners of these cars have been left with hefty repair bills and I am keen to trace those responsible for the damage.

"I would appeal to anyone who saw anything or anyone acting suspiciously in these areas around the time stated to contact me as soon as possible."

Anyone with information contact PC Eldridge via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101, quoting one of the crime references stated.
