Bakers from the St Albans business community took part in a Great Legal Bake Off competition on Thursday, February 12.

St Albans family law firm Rayden Solicitors hosted the event which raised £250 for the Eastern Legal Trust and Rayden Solicitors' Charity of the Year, the Harpenden Children's Contact Centre.

Alexander Taberner from Modality was urged to enter the competition with an orange curd cake. This took home best tasting cake and was commended by Janice Bissett from private catering company The Chef's Friend, who was judging during the evening.

Cherry Choudhury, from City Lawyers in St Albans, took the prize for best looking cake with seven beautiful red cupcake roses wrapped as a bouquet.

Best Baker wooden spoons and vouchers were awarded to the winners, which were donated by The Pudding Stop in St Albans.
