St Albans Cathedral wants to hear from visitors about the kind of events and activities they would like to see as part of a new heritage project, bringing the story of St Alban to life.

Workshops, music and arts, events and exhibitions could all be part of the project which is currently in development as part of a Heritage Lottery Fund bid at St Albans Cathedral.

Canon Kevin Walton said: “We are embarking upon a transformational project to reveal the importance of Alban and raise the profile of the Cathedral built in his honour.

“The project will widen access to the Cathedral’s story, conserve and protect its heritage and history, and welcome existing and new visitors with a new welcome centre and facilities.

“We are planning a range of activities to help people enjoy this amazing building and find out more about their city and Alban, Britain’s first saint.”

Local people can have a say in the kinds of activities and events that will take place over the course of the project by dropping in to the Cathedral and filling in a survey or by filling in a survey online at www.tricolorassociates.co.uk/st-albans-surveys-news/
