Students at Roundwood Park School in Harpenden are in for a treat after lessons on Thursday next week.

Winner of TV talent contest The Voice, Jermain Jackman, will be performing his new single, How Will I Know?

He recorded the song around the time of his grandmother's death.

Talking about the recording he said: " I'd been to New York to visit my granny the same week, and so my emotions were high in the studio.

"She was very much in my thoughts as I recorded the single and I think you can hear that in my vocal."

How Will I Know? is the lead track in his album which is being launched simultaneously.

During the visit to Roundwood Park he will also talk to the teenagers about the importance of applying themselves and getting involved with youth programmes such as the National Citizen Service (NCS).

Jackman won the third series of The Voice, and was the first male singer to triumph in the competition featuring star judges Sir Tom Jones, Will I Am, Ricky Wilson and Rita Ora.
