Monday, February 2

Kyle Michael Leahy, 18, of How Wood, Park Street. On January 7, 2015, stole a wireless speaker from Sainsbury’s. Also, on January 23, 2015, failed to surrender to custody. Commission of further offence while subject to conditional discharge order for possession of cannabis. Fine, costs: £405.

Michael Ian Waddy, 55, of Waverley Road, St Albans. On October 26, 2014, kept on a public road a vehicle which was unlicensed. Fine, back duty, costs: £1,020.42.

James Boon, 31, of Watling Street, Radlett. On September 25, 2014, at Stevenage station, failed to hand over ticket for inspection and verification of validity when asked to do so by an authorised person. Fine, compensation, costs: £346.10.

Tuesday, February 3

Darren Wayne Bridle, 34, of Napsbury Avenue, London Colney. On July 29, 2014, drove on the A1 north at Sandy, Beds, at 61mph, the legal limit being 50mph. Fine, costs: £305. Three penalty points.

Matthew Hennessey, 26, of Roma House, St Albans. On July 30, 2014, drove in Leverstock Green Road, Hemel Hempstead, at 45mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £525. Five penalty points.

Mainaz Akhtar Khan, 26, of Coningsby Bank, St Albans. On October 21, 2014, drove in Abbey Avenue, St Albans, without due care and attention. Fine, costs: £220. Three penalty points.

Claire Joanne Emma Simpson, 46, of Wesley Road, Markyate. On July 30, 2014, drove in Beech Road, St Albans, at 38mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £305. Three penalty points.

Daniel Woods, 48, of Wood End, Park Street. Application to reopen case following conviction for driving without insurance; speeding. Original offence reopened: On May 14, 2014, used a vehicle without insurance. Also, on same date, drove in Watford Road, St Albans, at a speed in excess of the 30mph legal limit. Fine, costs: £800. Six penalty points.

Thursday, February 5

Neil Keith Crosby, 35, of Artisan Crescent, St Albans. On August 5, 2014, drove in Leverstock Green Road, Hemel Hempstead, at 51mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £185. Six penalty points.

Friday, February 6

Janine Francis Brooks, 25, of Bardwell Court, St Albans. On December 11, 2014, stole various fragrance gift sets from Superdrug, Borehamwood. Also, similarly, on December 9, 2014. Also, on February 5, 2015, stole items worth £35.98 from the Co-op, St Albans. Commission of further offence during operational period of suspended sentence order made for theft from shop (x2). Committed to prison for ten weeks. Compensation: £150.

Billy Stephen Patrick Greaney, 20, of White Horse Lane, London Colney. On January 18, 2015, used a vehicle without insurance. Also, on same date, failed to stop when required to do so by a police officer in uniform. Also, on same date, was in possession of a small amount of cannabis, a class B drug, and drove without due care and attention. Fine, costs: £465. Six penalty points.

Lloyd Steven Hampson, 49, of Perham Way, London Colney. On January 9, 2015, sent text message which was of an indecent or grossly offensive nature. Restraining order made. Fine, costs: £745.

Robert Beaman, 42, of Trevelyan Place, St Stephen’s Hill, St Albans. On January 17, 2015, failed to give a specimen of urine for analysis. Fine, costs: £635. Banned from driving for 12 months, to be reduced by three if approved course undertaken.

Jai Want, 22, of Jodies Court, St Albans. On December 13, 2014, drove in London Road, St Albans, without due care and attention. Also, on same date, drove while not wearing a seat belt; neglected or refused to stop when directed to do so by a police officer; used a vehicle where not every stop lamp was in good working order; used a vehicle when the windscreen was cracked in the swept area. Fine, costs: £195.

Kerry Mead, 38, of Mount Pleasant, St Albans. On September 26, 2014, near Watford Junction, failed to hand over ticket for inspection and verification of validity when asked to do so by an authorised person. Fine, compensation, costs: £353.40.

John Francis Dunworth, 58, of Watling Street, Radlett. On August 6, 2014, drove in Allum Lane, Borehamwood, at 38mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £240. Three penalty points.
