Police have released an e-fit after a boy from St Albans was assaulted and robbed.

A 16-year-old boy from St Albans was walking in College Way, Welwyn, between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Monday, March 2, when he was approached by three males.

Two of them grabbed the teenager whilst the third assaulted him. The offenders then stole a small amount of money before they left on foot through an alleyway next to the Waitrose store, in the direction of the town centre.

Two of the group are described as white and around 5ft 10ins. One was wearing a white hoodie, whilst the other was wearing a silver coloured hoodie.

The third is described as being Asian, of average build and around 6ft.

Detective Constable Gemma Kenealy from the Hatfield Local Crime Unit is investigating and said: “Thankfully the victim was not injured during this incident but was left shaken by what happened.

“The victim has been able to compile an e-fit of a suspect and I believe the public may be able to assist me with identifying this person. Anyone who believes they know this person, or has any other information about the incident, should contact me as soon as possible.”
