A supermarket giant has lodged an appeal to grant plans for a £2.5 million store in a historic pub garden.
Sainsbury’s wants to build a convenience store in the garden of the Grade II listed Three Hammers Pub in Watford Road.
Residents have expressed fears about the site, scale, design and harm to a listed building.
A planning inspector will officially determine the result.
