A series of dramatic services will be taking place at St Albans Cathedral for Easter.
On Palm Sunday there will be an opportunity to process from the city's 15th century Clock Tower to the Cathedral waving greenery to resemble palms, while on Easter Monday a special pilgrimage will take place in which people, young and old, walk to the Cathedral from across the diocese to celebrate together.
This year the journey can be followed in real time on Twitter using the hashtag #emp2015.
Speaking about the celebrations, Canon Kevin Walton said: "Holy Week and Easter is the most poignant and dramatic part of the Christian year as we celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ.
"We look forward to welcoming all who wish to share with us, and, of course, who wish to sample St Albans' own authentic bun, carrying as it does the sign of the cross."
