A care home in Harpenden has had its new cafe and day centre opened by Town Mayor Councillor Mary Maynard.
The facilities at Willow Court in Aldwickbury Crescent were revealed at a public event yesterday.
It is hoped the Best Friends Café and Q Club Day Centre will provide a more comfortable, pleasant environment for residents and their families to spend their time.
Councillor Maynard cut a ribbon in front of the gathered crowd, before guests were invited to try a selection of cakes and pastries reflecting the cafe’s French theme.
Home Manager Trish Daniel said: "We are delighted to have the Harpenden Town Mayor Councillor Mary Maynard carry out the official opening of these new facilities for us and hope that they will be a fantastic resource for our residents, families and the older community of Harpenden."
