A 29-year-old man was found stabbed at a petrol station in St Albans.
Emergency services were called at 2.13am to the Esso Garage in London Road.
Police believe the man might have been stabbed two blocks away, near the Beehive on Keyfield Terrace.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and inquiries are continuing.
