Pupils at a school in Harpenden raise £350 for The Dogs Trust after year of fundraising events.
The pupils in Manland School’s Griffin House voted to support the charity after Jo Bains, The Dogs Trust educational and community officer, visited the school to talk to each class about safety around dogs and the responsibility of having a pet dog.
Jo said: “What an amazing effort. This is fantastic and we are so grateful to the children for choosing to support The Dogs Trust this year.”
Jo took her dog Bella, who had been rescued by The Dogs Trust a few months ago, to Manland for a special assembly at which she was presented with a cheque by Griffin’s house captain and vice-captain.
