Monday, June 15

Tuesday, June 16

Adam Daniel Joseph Nazar, 24, of Hill End Lane, St Albans. On June 2, 2015, dishonestly received stolen goods namely a sat nav, knowing or believing it to be stolen goods. Also, on same date, drove in Cairns Close, St Albans, without a valid licence; used a vehicle without insurance; drove a vehicle knowing it had been taken without the consent of the owner. Fine, compensation, costs: £356. Six penalty points.

Bret Alexander Timlett, 43, of Ashwell Park, Harpenden. On March 15, 2015, trespassed upon lands of a railway company in dangerous proximity to railway lines and other works between Park Street and St Albans Abbey stations. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs: £60.

Saddique Ali, 41, of Dellfield, St Albans. On December 26, 2014, used a vehicle on the M1 without insurance. Also, on same date, used a vehicle to which no test certificate had been issued. Fine, costs: £515. Six penalty points.

Michael Robert Pink, 24, of Pondfield Crescent, St Albans. On January 24, 2015, drove in Hemel Hempstead Road, Hemel Hemp-stead, at a speed in excess of the 40mph legal limit. Fine, costs: £454. Banned from driving for 28 days.

Wednesday, June 17

Joseph Lee, 42, of Bricket Road, St Albans. On June 16, 2015, stole items from Poundworld, St Albans. Also, on same date, assaulted a person by beating him; damaged cell 26 at Hatfield Custody Suite; used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour thereby causing a person harassment, alarm or distress and the offence was racially aggravated; used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour thereby causing a police officer harassment, alarm or distress and the offence was racially aggravated. Commission of further offence during operational period of suspended sentence order. Committed to prison for 14 weeks. Costs, compensation: £340.

XS Property MGMT Maintenance Ltd, of Hatfield Road, St Albans. On or about October 3, 2014, being a company managing a house in multiple occupation, ran the property without the required licence. Also, on or about same date, failed to ensure all means of escape from fire were maintained in good order and repair (three counts); failed to ensure any firefighting equipment and fire alarms were maintained and in good working order. Fine, costs: £7,690.12.

Thursday, June 18

Mark John Crane, 38, of Luton Road, Harpenden. On June 6, 2015, assaulted a person by beating her. Restraining order made. Fine, costs: £1,033.

Paul Chappell, 40, of Kendals Close, Radlett. Between June 1, 2015, and June 3, 2015, pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a person. Community order made with unpaid work requirement. Restraining order made. Costs: £295.

Megchelina Smith, 85, of Stanton Close, St Albans. On September 14, 2014, assaulted a person. Also, on same date, assaulted a second person. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs: £340. Peter Smith, 72, of Stanton Close, St Albans. On September 14, 2014, assaulted a person. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs: £340.

Friday, June 19

Carly McDonnell, 28, of Thorne House, St Peters Street, St Albans. On March 13, 2015, together with another, stole two bottles of vodka worth £39 from Marks and Spencers, St Albans. Discharged conditionally for six months. Compensation, costs: £139.

Rowan Daniel Hayles, 32, of Langley Grove, Sandridge. On November 8, 2014, at St Peters Street, St Albans, damaged the post office counter belonging to Post Office PLC. Fine, costs: £160.

James David Boothby, 24, of Humbers Hoe, Markyate. On March 5, 2015, was in possession of a bag of cannabis, a class B drug. Fine, costs: £185.

Peter Fruen, 20, of Green Lane, St Albans. On January 28, 2015, at Hatfield station, failed to hand over your ticket for inspection and verification of validity when asked to do so by an authorised person. Fine, compensation, costs: £342.70.
