A Hertfordshire based author visited a St Albans secondary school.
Sue Hampton, who has written more than 20 books for all ages, gave a talk and workshop to year seven pupils at the Townsend Church of England Secondary School.
Mrs Hampton spoke about her condition, alopecia, and how it has helped her write her teenage novels.
She told the students about the different characters within her books and how she begins with an idea for them, before getting the pupils to do the same process for a new a character for a story The Daydreamers.
