The following cases were heard before magistrates between September 14 and 18.

Thursday, September 17

Dan John Millar, 20, of Shottfield Close, Sandridge, St Albans. On August 28, 2015, damaged a glass pane intending to destroy or damage such property. Restraining order made. Fine, costs: £330.

Elaine Blacklock, 58, of Church Street, St Albans. On September 14, 2015, used a vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 78 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Disqualified from driving for 20 months. Fine, costs: £565.

Martin Graham Collier, 49, of Nuns Lane, St Albans. On September 8, 2015, drove his car in St Edmunds Walk which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order. Committed to prison for four weeks with consecutive to offence of Breach of Sexual Prevention Order on June 26, 2015.

Martin Graham Collier, 49, of Nuns Lane, St Albans. On June 25, 2015, breached his sexual offences prevention order by being in a public place between the hours of 0:00 and 6:00 without supervision and without written permission from his monitoring officer, which he was prohibited from doing by a sexual risk order. Committed to prison for four months forthwith. On same date, with intent to cause alarm or distress, used threatening or abusive words or behaviour and the offence was racially aggravated. Committed to prison for one month forthwith concurrent. On August 20, 2015, failed without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Berkshire Magistrates’ Court having been released on bail. Committed to prison for two months forthwith concurrent. Costs: £260.

Friday, September 18

Stephen Anthony England, 48, of How Wood, Park Street, St Albans. On May 23, 2015, damaged a ticket machine belonging to Arriva buses. Community order made. Carry out unpaid work for 40 hours within the next 12 months. Commission of a further offence whilst subject to order of conditional discharge for 12 months. Compensation, costs: £1,045.

Julian Ebi Sagbana, 45, of Mountbatten Close, St Albans. On July 1, 2015, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with the intent to cause alarm or distress. Fine, costs: £375.
